Lightning traces across the air above Dobbsey. Dobbsey does not move.

It clears. Black smoke billows in from stage left.

Sound FX: FOOM

Dobbsey does not move.

It clears. Two gears and a spring come flying in from stage right.

Sound FX: SPROING!

Dobbsey: Dobbsey does not move.

Laser beams lance over Dobbsey.

Sound FX: ZAP!

Dobbsey does not move.

They stop. An arrow strikes the book.

Sound FX: TWAAANNG

Dobbsey does not move.
